MONDAY

BJJ NOGI 6-7:15PM

INSTRUCTOR: Todd Matthews

No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling martial art that focuses on techniques and strategies without the traditional kimono or gi uniform. It emphasizes body control, leverage, and speed, and is popular in both competitive grappling and mixed martial arts (MMA) training.

WEDNESDAY

BJJ (GI) 6-7:15PM

INSTRUCTOR: TODD MATTHEWS

In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, the gi, or kimono, is the traditional uniform worn during training and competition. It consists of a heavy cotton jacket, pants, and a belt that indicates rank. The gi provides opportunities for gripping, which is crucial for controlling and manipulating an opponent.

SATURDAY

OPEN MAT 12-1:30PM

INSTRUCTOR: TODD MATTHEWS

Open mat is a time when practitioners can freely train on the mats without a structured class or instructor leading the session. It's an opportunity for individuals to practice techniques, roll (spar), drill, and generally improve their skills in a more relaxed and unstructured environment. Open mats are common at many BJJ schools and can be a great way to build community and experience a variety of different training styles.
